Grandparents’ Day
On Friday, 23rd January, we were delighted to celebrate Grandparents’ Day as part of Catholic Schools’ Week. The children were so excited to welcome our visitors and took part in lots of art and writing activities in the lead-up to the day. They brought in photographs of their grandparents, those who were joining us, those who couldn’t be with us and those we were remembering on the day.
Fr. Stephen celebrated a mass in Dangan Church and our choir did an excellent job in providing beautiful music for the service. Our readers, servers and those who took part in the offertory procession all made the occasion very special.
After the service, visiting grandparents joined us in the school for tea, sandwiches and cake and took the opportunity to visit each classroom. The children were very proud to show their work. Well done to everyone involved in organising the day and thank you to all those who visited our school.
